Innovation Cancer was conceived by ION Solutions and Oncology Supply as a troubling trend began occurring in the healthcare industry-remaining viable was becoming more and more difficult for independent community oncology practices. Innovation Cancer brought access to business coaching and technology designed to improve practice operational efficiency. As we began to assess results and feedback from the Innovation Cancer model of service, we felt it in the best interest of our membership to not limit access to valuable resources that benefit all aspects of a community oncology practice. ION Solutions, a part of AmerisourceBergen Corporation, is the largest physician service organization and GPO specializing in the support of community oncology. ION provides GPO procurement services, technologies, advocacy resources and expertise to more than half of the community-based oncology practices in the nation to help improve their clinical and operational management.
